Founded in 1927, the central objective of formation of the Club was to encourage flying as a sport and to create promote 'air-awareness' among the youth of India. The Club aimed towards development of sport aviation and astronautical activities throughout India. Aero Club of India has been an active member of Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) since 1950. ACI is the highest body for the Flying Clubs and Aero Sports organizations in India, which are engaged in General Aviation, Gliding, Skydiving, Paragliding & Hang Gliding, Ballooning, Microlight & Paramotors, Aeromodelling, Drones, Rotorcraft, Amateur Built Aircraft, etc.

It is with deep pride that we welcome onboard Empyreal Galaxy as our associate partner for the upcoming DELTAs-2022 conference scheduled for June 22-26, 2022. Association with them has invigorated our attempts at making this conference a success.

As rightly stated in their tagline, Empyreal Galaxy works on innovation with a purpose. They work on conceptualising, designing, and manufacturing Lighter-Than-Air aircraft with a mission to making those areas accessible which are frequently unreachable, especially during natural calamities or disasters. Common technologies to reach such areas include drones and helicopters, which are either not fit for rescue work, or too costly. Empyreal Galaxy works on LTA systems for the aforementioned purpose but with the key intent to also keep it cost-effective, efficient, and environment friendly.

We are thrilled to announce that the Institute for Infrastructure, Environment and Innovation (IMIEU U-LTA) will be our associate partner for the upcoming DELTAs-2022 Conference, June 22-24 2022. Their association with us will surely provide us a great deal of optimism for the success of this event!

IMIEU is an independent non-profit organisation with locations in Brussels and Amsterdam, and wants to prove that development of infrastructure can go hand-in-hand with environmental protection and environmental improvements. IMIEU has two important main activities:
- Initiating and developing European projects, focused on demonstrating that economical development can go hand-in-hand with improving the environment.
- Giving environmental advice for marine infrastructure projects.

They are currently working on a sustainable aviation project called 'Upscaling Lighter Than Air Technology'.
